About Polyamide (PA):
Polyamide (Nylon) is one of the most widely used engineering thermoplastics globally. PA6 and PA66 offer an excellent balance of mechanical strength, toughness, heat resistance, and chemical resistance at a competitive cost. Through modification with glass fiber reinforcement, flame retardants, impact modifiers, and specialty additives, our PA compounds deliver tailored performance for automotive, electrical & electronic, industrial, and consumer applications.
Key Performance Properties
Why PA6 and PA66 are the most versatile engineering thermoplastics
Excellent Mechanical Strength
PA6 and PA66 offer outstanding tensile strength (60-85 MPa) and impact resistance. Glass fiber reinforcement boosts strength up to 200+ MPa for structural applications.
Chemical & Oil Resistance
Strong resistance to oils, greases, fuels, alkalis and organic solvents. The material of choice for automotive under-hood components and industrial environments.
Versatile Processing
Excellent flowability for thin-wall injection molding. Wide processing window with melt temperatures from 230-290°C. Suitable for complex geometries and multi-cavity tools.
Good Wear & Abrasion Resistance
Inherently wear-resistant with low friction coefficient. Ideal for gears, bearings, rollers and sliding components in mechanical assemblies.
High Rigidity with Reinforcement
Flexural modulus from 3,000 MPa (unfilled) to 15,000+ MPa (GF reinforced). Tailored stiffness for load-bearing applications with 5%-60% fiber loading options.
Broad Temperature Range
Continuous use from -40°C to 120°C for standard grades. Heat-stabilized variants extend up to 150°C. Maintains ductility even in sub-zero conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the difference between PA6 and PA66?
PA66 has a higher melting point (255-265°C vs 215-225°C), higher tensile strength, and better heat resistance compared to PA6. PA6 offers slightly better impact strength, surface finish, and processability. The choice depends on your specific temperature, strength, and appearance requirements.
Q: What glass fiber content should I specify?
GF15-20%: Moderate strength improvement with good surface finish. GF30%: Best balance of strength, stiffness, and processability — most common grade. GF40-50%: Maximum strength and rigidity for structural applications. GF60%: Ultra-high stiffness with some trade-off in toughness. We can custom compound any loading between 5%-60%.
Q: Do you offer customized color and performance for PA?
Yes, we can customize color (natural, black, or any RAL/Pantone color) and adjust performance parameters including glass fiber content, flame retardancy level, impact modification, and additive combinations to meet your exact application requirements.
Q: What certifications do your PA products hold?
Our PA products are certified to SGS, RoHS, REACH, UL, ISO9001, and ISO14001 standards. Flame retardant grades carry UL94 V-0 certification at specified thicknesses. FDA-compliant grades are available for food contact applications upon request.
